LOOK: Roman Wilson Makes An Epic Jersey Change Heading Into 2023
It hasn't been officially announced yet by the program, but according to the Michigan Football official roster wide receiver Roman Wilson has changed jersey numbers.
Wilson, who has worn No. 14 throughout his Wolverines' career, is now going to wear the iconic No. 1 jersey.
It once meant something extremely special when a wide receiver wore the No. 1 jersey -- it meant they were elite and one of the best in the nation.
Players like Anthony Carter, Derrick Alexander, David Terrell, and Braylon Edwards all shined in the No. 1 jersey and they were the elite of the elite during their playing time in Ann Arbor.
But in recent years coaches started to give the jersey to freshmen like Kekoa Crawford and Andrel Anthony.
But maybe with the switch to No. 1, Roman Wilson might be ready to show the world how good he truly is. Wilson has flashed so much promise during his three years in Ann Arbor and is the deep threat Michigan needs in its offense.
Last season he averaged over 15 yards per catch. If the Wolverines are going to open up the passing attack then they will need Wilson to stay healthy and continue to flash.
