REPORT: Michigan's Jesse Minter Interviews With Philadelphia Eagles

After taking over for former defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald following the 2021 season, Michigan's Jesse Minter helped engineer one of college football's top defensive units in 2022.

Just when it seemed like Michigan's coaching staff was all set for 2023, a new report suggests there could be more turnover on Harbaugh's staff. According to a report by Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network, Michigan defensive coordinator Jesse Minter interviewed with the Philadelphia Eagles for their open DC position.

After replacing former defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald following the 2021 season, helped engineer one of the top defensive units in college football in 2022. Minter's defensive philosophy and ability to make meaningful halftime adjustments was critical in helping the Wolverines finish with a perfect 12-0 regular season record. In fact, Minter's defense had a four-game stretch where it surrendered just three points combined in the second half against Rutgers, Michigan State, Penn State and Indiana.

Minter is currently set to enter his second year of a three-year contract with the University of Michigan, but it appears that a return to the NFL might still be in the cards.  Prior to Michigan, Minter spent four seasons in the NFL with the Baltimore Ravens (2017-20), where he was a defensive assistant for three years and coached the team's defensive backs in 2020.
