Michigan Football: Junior Colson Wins Lott IMPACT Trophy

Michigan's Junior Colson was named the winner of the Lott IMPACT Trophy on Monday, an award given to college football's defensive best in character and performance.

Michigan's Junior Colson, now in his third year with the program, has been one of the most productive and dependable Wolverines on the roster. He appeared in all 14 games as a freshman during the 2021 season, making seven starts at linebacker. He was Michigan's leading tackler during the 2022 season, and he's followed that performance up with once again being the teams leading tackler 2023.

On Monday, it was announced that Colson was the winner of the Lott IMPACT Trophy, an award given to college football's defensive best in character and performance.

Colson is widely regarded as one of the top linebackers in the country, and he's currently being projected as high as a fourth round NFL Draft pick. With that being said, Colson still has another year of eligibility remaining after this season, and he'll certainly have a big decision to make regarding his football future once the 2023 season comes to an end.
