Ohio State Gets Roasted For Pregame Antics

In this story:
The pitchforks are officially out in Columbus. Following a third consecutive loss to the Michigan Wolverines on Saturday, the Buckeyes - and their head coach - are taking heat for their pregame antics in Ann Arbor. While Michigan fans have had a field day with the content, the Buckeye faithful are pointing to examples like those provided below as further evidence that Ohio State isn't taking the rivalry as seriously as they once did under Day's predecessor.

No way OSU was winning after this. This does not look like a team that’s ready for battle. https://t.co/GuB5WjKw8C

Both Michigan and Ohio State fans (along with former players and current coaches) also looked on in disbelief as Ryan Day attempted to play the role of "hype man" in the middle of his players about 30 minutes prior to kickoff.

Regardless of which side of the rivalry you're on, it's pretty clear that nobody is impressed with the pregame rituals at Ohio State. Although the Buckeyes have an impressive 56-7 record under Day, three of those seven losses have come to the Wolverines in three consecutive seasons. Day is now 1-3 against the Wolverines and, although he's won a lot of football games during his tenure in Columbus, his lack of success against Michigan is leading to a growing chorus of those calling for his job.
While Michigan will now prepare to face Iowa in the Big Ten Championship game this weekend, the Buckeyes will be watching from home once again. They'll also be hoping for a repeat of last season, where they were able to back their way into the College Football Playoff despite an embarrassing loss in Columbus.
