The Michigan Wolverines have been hot on the recruiting trail as of late, and it has led to the No. 1 ranking for the 2024 class according to 247Sports. Headlined by five-star quarterback Jadyn Davis, Harbaugh and co. have secured the commitment of 15 prospects for the 2024 class, and they have a good shot at adding No. 16 this weekend.

Channing Goodwin, a four-star wideout and current high school teammate of Jadyn Davis, announced that he will be making his decision on Sunday at 4 pm ET.

Goodwin's top-seven includes Michigan, North Carolina, South Carolina, North Carolina State, Wake Forest, Virginia Tech and Virginia. The 6-1, 165 pound wideout is currently listed as the No. 7 ranked player in the state of North Carolina and the No, 38 ranked wideout nationally.

Although most of Goodwin's college options have the advantage of a close proximity to his hometown, the Wolverines have a number of key advantages working in their favor. His father, Jonathan Goodwin, was an offensive lineman at the University of Michigan from 1998-2001. His current teammate, five-star quarterback Jadyn Davis, is already committed to Michigan and is actively trying to recruit him to Ann Arbor. Lastly, Michigan still doesn't have a wide receiver commitment as part of its 2024 class.

All of those factors certainly put Michigan in the drivers seat when it comes to Goodwin's recruitment.
