REPORT: NCAA Investigating Potential Recruiting Violations By Harbaugh, Michigan

It's been five days since Michigan's 2022 season came to an end in the College Football Playoff semifinal, and the early off-season news cycle has been less than ideal if you're a Michigan football fan.
While reports of Harbaugh's potential flirtation with the NFL have once again dominated the headlines, it now appears that the Michigan Football program could be facing some serious consequences for multiple recruiting violations during the COVID dead period in 2020.
On Thursday, ESPN's Adam Rittenberg reported that the NCAA has prepared a draft of a notice of allegations that includes a Level I violation against Jim Harbaugh for not complying with NCAA investigators, as well as four other Level II violations.

As part of his reporting, Rittenberg provided some insight into what the violations include - saying that they are serious enough to potentially warrant a multi-game suspension.
"The violations include alleged impermissible contact with recruits during the NCAA-mandated dead periods, as well as the use of a defensive analyst for on-field coaching activities, a rules violation. Sources told ESPN that Harbaugh's cooperation with NCAA enforcement staff during the investigation is also being examined. Harbaugh could face penalties that include a multigame suspension, sources said."
