Wolverines In The NFL: Ronnie Bell Snags Touchdown On Christmas

In this story:
It wasn't a good Christmas for 49ers fans or Brock Purdy.
During primetime TV, Purdy threw four interceptions during a 33-19 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Purdy, who was the front-runner for the MVP, suffered some kind of stinger during the game and veteran Sam Darnold was called into action.
Darnold led the 49ers offense down the field for a touchdown, and that touchdown went to a former Michigan favorite.
Rookie receiver Ronnie Bell caught his second-career NFL touchdown on Monday night against former Michigan defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald. It was a 12-yard catch and score.

Bell has just five receptions on the year for 63 yards and two touchdowns. But the seventh-round rookie has made a name for himself on the 53-man roster. Bell has been an excellent special teams contributor for San Francisco and is one of its top returners on the team.
He has recently been more involved with punt returns and now has eight returns for 53 yards on the season.
You don't see many seventh-round picks making 53-man rosters, let alone playing in all 15 games this season. It looks like Bell has found himself a home and found a niche with the 49ers.
