Reactions: Media Reacts To Michigan Football Narrowly Escaping Maryland

In this story:
After a 23-3 lead over Maryland, the Wolverines lost a step and narrowly defeated the Terrapins on Saturday afternoon, 31-24.
Michigan had to lean on its running game -- once again -- and defense to win the game. J.J. McCarthy was off and it's possible his ankle injury is hampering him more than realized. McCarthy completed just 52% of his throws and threw an interception in the red zone in the first quarter.
Blake Corum rushed for 94 yards and two scores against the Terps. Defensive back Mike Sainristil had two interceptions, Derrick Moore ran in a lost fumble, and Michigan recorded two safeties against the Terrapins.
It was an unusual day in the office for Michigan to say the very least.
Michigan moved to 11-0 and the Wolverines got their win No. 1,000 in program history. The maize and blue can turn their full attention on Ohio State next week.
Here's what the media had to say after the win.

A very odd take from Rivals' recruiting analyst Adam Friedman
All that adversity Michigan has faced and they get bailed out by the refs. Incredible

Michigan gets to 1,000 wins as a program. Sherrone Moore told me this week that even though he's the acting coach, he considers this Jim Harbaugh's win.

Michigan gets the program's 1,000th win without Jim Harbaugh. They did what they were expected to, though the Terps never quit. The Wolverines' season will be defined the way it usually is - against Ohio State - but also for how its story off the field continues to unfold.
