Michigan Football: Top 2025 Target Sets Commitment Date

Early signing day is quickly approaching for the 2024 recruiting cycle. Michigan is still in on a couple of targets for the '24 cycle, but attention appears to be shifting toward the transfer portal and the 2025 recruiting cycle.

Offensive lineman Will Black is one of Michigan's priority targets in '25. He visited Ann Arbor for The Game against Ohio State this season. The Wolverines could be getting a new verbal pledge in the coming days.

Black announced he will be committing on Dec. 21.

The 6-foot-7, 295-pound offensive tackle hails from Wallingford (CT) Choate Rosemary Hall. According to the Composite rankings, he is a four-star recruit, the 316th-ranked recruit, and the 29th-ranked OT in the '25 class.

The Wolverines are currently leading to land Black. Michigan has three Crystal Ball predictions to land Black, according to 247Sports.

Alabama, Penn State, and Notre Dame are other teams that are trying to land Black. He is just coming off of a visit to Notre Dame and the Wolverines are hoping they did enough to pull in the massive tackle over the likes of the Fighting Irish.

If you look over at On3, the Wolverines have an 89.3% chance to land Black. Notre Dame is in second with just a 3.9% chance.

Michigan currently has three commitments in the 2025 class and zero offensive linemen.
