Big Time Athlete Poses In Michigan Gear, Puts U-M In Top Five

Michigan target is appears as high on Wolverines as any school in his top group.

Recruiting can sometimes be described as a giant social circle. Connections, networking, past relationships and friendships can be very important for some recruits and those things seem to be at least part of the picture for Chattanooga (Tenn.) Brainerd athlete Boo Carter.

The 5-10, 184-pounder, who figures to play defensive back at the next level, was recently seen sporting Michigan gloves and cleats while throwing up the Block M and posing with classmate and Michigan commit Jacob Oden.

Carter wearing Michigan gear definitely doesn't mean he's a U-M lock, but it doesn't hurt U-M's case. Throw in the hand signal and posing with a future Wolverine and things start to get a little more interesting. It also doesn't hurt that Carter has already put the Wolverines in his top group with summertime official visits just around the corner.

As outlines in the graphic above from On3, Carter is also considering Ohio State, Oregon, Colorado and Tennessee. Most believe that the Tennessee native will remain close to home and pick the Volunteers, but he's been to Ann Arbor before, obviously likes maize and blue and seems to have bonded at least a little bit with a current member of U-M's No. 3 ranked class.
