In this story:

Michigan is and has been hot on the recruiting trail lately and might remain so with West Bloomfield (Mich.) High four-star defensive lineman Brandon Davis-Swain when it's all said and done.

The one-time Notre Dame commit has decommitted from the Irish and isn't even considering them anymore. Now, he's down to Purdue, Colorado, USC, Auburn and Michigan.

The 6-4, 240-pound defensive lineman has had a Michigan offer in hand for a long time already despite being just a junior and any time a prospect from West Bloomfield has an offer from the Wolverines, it's noteworthy. Big time contributors Makari Paige and Donovan Edwards both hail from West Bloomfield, as does safeties coach Ron Bellamy. With that kind of influence, the Wolverines have to be viewed as a serious contender for Davis-Swain's services.
