Michigan Football Makes Top 8 For Elite 2025 Linebacker

In this story:
Michigan has 25 commitments in the 2024 class and the Wolverines just got that 25th one on Monday night. Four-star Edge rusher Elias Rudolph selected the maize and blue over Miami and Pittsburgh.
There are still realistically five or six more players Michigan is in the running for in the '24 cycle. But sooner than later, the Wolverines will be turning their full attention onto the 2025 class.
On Monday, Michigan received news it made the top eight for '25 linebacker DJ McClary. Rounding out his final eight are Rutgers, USC, Tennessee, Oregon, Penn State, South Carolina, and Ohio State.
#AGTG recruitment is still 100% open but from the schools that offered this is my top 8!! 🙏🏾 pic.twitter.com/yBtUd1e14w

According to the Composite ranking, McClary 91st-ranked prospect in the class and the 10th-best linebacker in 2025. He hails from Jersey City (New Jersey) Henry Snyder.
Michigan offered the 6-foot-1, 185-pound linebacker back in late April.
The Wolverines currently have two commitments in the 2025 cycle. Both are four-star defenders in Chris Ewald Jr. (CB) and Mantrez Walker (LB). If the Wolverines would land McClary, he would be the second-highest-ranked player in the class -- but there is no telling when he may make a decision.
