In this story:

Charlotte (N.C.) Providence Day School wide receiver Jordan Shipp released his top eight earlier today and Michigan made the cut.

Michigan will now battle Georgia Tech, North Carolina, N.C. State, Kentucky, Maryland, Cincinnati and Virginia Tech for the No. 10 player in the state of North Carolina.

Shipp has been to Michigan several times and is expected to return sometime this spring. No one seems to know exactly how he's feeling but U-M has been a presence at the top of his list for some time. The in-state Tar Heels would love to keep him home but he really likes a lot about Michigan. Like most rising seniors, Shipp would like to make his decision before the start of his senior season.
