Raymar Morgan’s Career Comes to An End

Raymar Morgan’s career came to an end against Butler on Saturday night. Morgan ends his career with two Final Fours and among the all time best statistically. So why will some people look at Morgan thinking that he lacked a stellar career?
Â
In Morgan’s defense he came in with such high hopes, that maybe they were simply unrealistic. Morgan was never less than a stellar performer in the classroom. He was a fine citizen off the court and was as good as any when it came to how he represented himself in the community.
Â
Morgan statistically is one of only five in the history of the program with his stats (1,500 points/700 rebounds) and no matter how you look at his career; you can judge it no other way than a success. Raymar Morgan left on the table some upside. There is more that he could have done.
Â
What Raymar did, however, is worthy of accolades and this Spartan may not have been the most vocal, or the best leader, but is one of the best guys.
Â
Spartan Nation, please don’t let high hopes diminish what was actually accomplished. Thanks Raymar!
