Fantasy Outlook For Cousins, Hoyer And Stanton In 2013

Unless an injury occurs, it appears as though no former Michigan State quarterbacks are scheduled to start in Week 1. Despite that being the case, all three could find themselves on the field at some point in 2013. Here is a season preview for all of them, including how they could fair in fantasy football leagues. Take a second and please check this out CLICK HERE.

Kirk Cousins

Stepping in for Robert Griffin III last season, Cousins almost did the unthinkable to help Washington advance in the playoffs. He is the most likely to start on Week 1, because there is a chance Griffin will not be 100% ready. Just 24 years old, he has the most potential of the three to become a starting quarterback down the road. It won’t happen in Washington though, as Griffin is the franchise guy. If he is named the starter at the beginning of the season, he is worth a look.

Brian Hoyer

Brandon Weeden is still the starter in Cleveland, which means Hoyer will need an injury or poor play to get on the field. He recently signed a two-year deal with the club, which means the Browns feel he is a capable backup option.

The Browns are giving him a shot this summer to earn the starting job, but it appears as though he is fighting an uphill battle. Jason Campbell and Thaddeus Lewis will also be in the mix.

Drew Stanton

Quarterback play for Arizona was awful in 2013, so the Cardinals did something about it. Carson Palmer and Drew Stanton were brought in, with Palmer being the top guy to start out the season. Stanton backed up Andrew Luck last season, so his chances of getting significant playing time in Indianapolis was going to be slim.

In Arizona, Palmer is certainly not a franchise guy at the moment. He will get his shot to start, but chances are Stanton will at least get a couple starts in 2013.
