Mark Dantonio Closes in on Completing 2010 Class with 20th Commit: CB Darqueze Dennard from Jeffersonville, Georgia

As the countdown clock to signing day says six days, Mark Dantonio continues to put the finishing touches on the 2010 recruiting class. He was informed Wednesday evening that CB Darqueze Dennard from Jeffersonville, Georgia will join the Spartan Nation.

The CB has excellent open field skills. He has very good technique in space and making the tackle. Not the kind of player that is always after the Sportscenter hit, doesn’t mean that he isn’t an excellent tackler.

 

Not one to go for the flash, he was best described to me as a, “Lunch bucket,” textbook tackler and player. That is good news for Spartan fans that to many times watched opponents gain extra yards after a Spartan DB went for the big hit rather than the tackle.

 

Dennard will red shirt in 2010 as he works on his ball skills and technique. He is a high character young man and is the Spartans second true CB for the 2010 class. The Spartans would love to add at least one more DB for the 2010 class.

 

They are making a strong final push for the very talented Mike Dorsey, Safety from Warren, OH. Make sure you stay tuned to Spartan Nation for the latest as the 2010 finishes and the 2011 class begins.
