Michigan State Football Offers '23 Four-Star DE Ashton Porter

The Spartans offer 2023 four-star defensive end Ashton Porter out of Cypress, Texas.

EAST LANSING – Michigan State football is interested in a promising prospect out of Cypress, Texas.

Ashton Porter, a 2023 four-star defensive end, spoke with the coaching staff and welcomed some good news.

"Had a great conversation with @CoachRonBurton; blessed to receive an offer from @MSU_Football," he wrote via Twitter.

At 6-foot-3 and 225-pounds, Porter is the No. 23 strong-side defensive end for his respective class and the No. 21 prospect in Texas.

He holds offers from Arizona State, Colorado, SMU, Texas, and the Spartans.

  • As a sophomore, Porter was a unanimous Texas 16-6A first-team All-District selection.
  • In 2020, he recorded 32 tackles, including 11.5 for a loss, four sacks, and two forced fumbles.
