Spartan Football DE Kenny Willekes Talks Penn State

The Michigan State Spartan Football team sits at 4-3. Coming into a season full of excitement and promise, the team stands on the precipice of watching their season fall into a complete collapse with a loss on Saturday. This game with #7 Penn State (7-0) kicks off at 3:30 PM at Spartan Stadium.

The above video is DE Kenny Willekes talking about the current state of Michigan State Football and taking a good look at the Penn State Nittany Lions.

One key to the PSU success is KJ Hamler.  Dantonio and the Spartans craved him, but he ended up in Happy Valley.  Dantonio said of him, "K.J. is a guy that is coming off a knee injury his senior year. We offered him; recruiting him hard and all that. He was at orchard lake and went to IMG. Really like K.J. as a person, as well."

Dantonio continued on Hamler that, "But he's been a dynamic player for them, especially the last couple years. I think us losing Jalen in a tore for a time period is a guy like that. But K.J. has been extremely productive. We look for that type of production from our guys, as well."

But Dantonio offered hope to Spartan fans saying, "We are getting some plays out of some of our guys, Darrell Stewart and different things, but K.J. is a guy that's been electrifying thus far, and has been a guy that can go the distance. So we've got to play."
