What the Spartan Nation learned from the NWU win

 I have been totally correct all spring and summer and even into the fall telling you how great these kids are. In spite of the terrible game plan the

2. In spite of the terrible game plan the players came through with a win Saturday.
3. I was correct in saying that the JLS regime MUST come to an end at the end of the season. JLS in his post game praised the coaches for the game plan and sticking with it. MEMO: watch the tape, when Smeland decided to play football and go after the NWU QB MSU got back in the game. They did change that is why they won. The kids pushed the issue and they got it.
4. The players made it very clear that Stanton, Cook, Ryan and Thornhill (all Bobby Williams kids) got the credit for the fire and motivation of the second half. They as players did what I said all week they had given up on the staff but not each other or MSU. These kids are proud to be green and when the staff couldn’t do there jobs and have them ready, the seniors did.
5. Don’t be caught up in the hype that we had the biggest come back ever the real story is that MSU should have never been down 35. That is a crock! NWU is terrible they lost to 1-AA New Hampshire. Me stepping away from a plate of donuts would be a bigger story.
6. I am here in NYC with the Lions and talk radio and TV are saying that the MSU story is the teams lack of first half play and how that is a statement against the staff also.

JLS had a 1-minute press conference and I don’t blame him. I wouldn’t want to face the fans after my staff let NWU held a 35-point lead. He did the right thing and put all the praise where it belonged: on the kids! I am very proud of the Spartans. They where a great reminder of what it means to be a Spartan. Heart guts and pride, even when everything is against yo
