Despite the best efforts of Kyle Cook and Domata Peko, the Steelers triumphed over the Bengals, 35-7. Peko had a big day at defensive tackle, with one tackle, three assists, one sack, one tackle for loss, and a quarterback hit, while Cook started at center.

The Colts’ Chris Rucker saw the most extensive action of his season in his team’s 31-24 loss at the hands of the Patriots. Rucker recorded four tackles, an assist, and a pass defensed at defensive back, and also had one special teams tackle. Brian Hoyer appeared at quarterback for New England, but recorded no stats.

Javon Ringer rushed five times for 21 yards at running back for the Titans in Tennessee’s 23-17 win over Dave Rayner and Bills. Rayner connected on a field goal of 27 yards and two extra points in the contest.

The Jet-Spartan duo of Plaxico Burress and Eric Smith once again played sizable roles in helping the Jets defeat the Redskins, 34-19. Smith was all over the field at safety, recording four tackles, two assists, a pass defensed, a fumble recovery, and two special teams tackles. Burress started at wide out and had three catches for 33 yards on the day.

Quarterback Drew Stanton was not active for the Lions’ 31-17 loss to the Saints.

Brandon Fields had a field day at punter for the Dolphins in Miami’s 34-14 win over the Raiders. Fields booted four balls for a 55.5 yard average, with his longest punt being of 66 yards.

Texans’ wide receiver Derrick Mason did not play in Houston’s 17-10 victory over the Falcons.

Greg Jones, Devin Thomas, and the Giants fell to the Packers in a close game, 38-35. Jones started at middle linebacker (but recorded no stats), while Thomas returned three kickoffs for 78 yards.

Defensive tackle Brandon McKinney played but had no stats for the Ravens in a 24-10 conquest of the Browns.

The Bears’ Kellen Davis reeled in two passes for 40 yards at tight end in a narrow 10-3 defeat against the Chiefs.
