Your Week 15 Michigan State Spartans in the NFL Report

Colts cornerback Chris Rucker had an outstanding day, as his team picked up its first win of the season in a 27-13 contest with the Titans. Rucker racked up six tackles, five assists, and a fumble recovery on the day. Running back Javon Ringer was not active for Tennessee.

In a showdown between former Spartan special teamers, Brandon Fields and the Dolphins defeated Dave Rayner and the Bills, 30-23. Fields punted six times for a 46.3 yard average, with his longest punt being of 56 yards. Rayner connected on a 34-yard field goal and two extra points, but missed from 24 yards out.

Ogemdi Nwagbuo played at defensive tackle but had no stats for the Panthers in Carolina’s 28-13 win over the Texans.

Both Domata Peko (defensive tackle) and Kyle Cook (center) started for the Bengals, but neither recorded any stats in their team’s 20-13 victory over the Rams.

Tight end Kellen Davis of the Bears caught one pass for 10 yards and also had a tackle, as Chicago fell to the Seahawks, 38-14.

The Jet-Spartan duo of Eric Smith and Plaxico Burress witnessed an ugly 45-19 loss to the Eagles on Sunday. Smith started at safety, recording four tackles and an assist, while Burress reeled in a nine-yard pass for a touchdown.

Drew Stanton was not active for the Lions in Detroit’s thrilling 28-27 triumph over the Raiders.

The Giants suffered a setback loss, 23-10, on Sunday to the Redskins. Giants’ linebacker Greg Jones had no stats. Teammate Devin Thomas had a good day, with two tackles and a forced fumble on special teams.

Quarterback Brian Hoyer did not play for the Patriots in New England’s 41-23 win over the Broncos.

Brandon McKinney was not active for the Ravens in a 34-13 defeat at the hands of the Chargers.
