Since returning from a concussion to take the starting reins at quarterback for the injured Michael Vick, Nick Foles has lit up opposing defenses. Following his seven touchdown performance last week against the Raiders, the Eagles’ second-year signalcaller torched the Packers for 228 yards and three touchdowns on Sunday. He completed 12 of his 18 attempts in the 27-13 victory over Green Bay, tossing touchdown passes of 55, 45 and 32 yards. Foles finished with a quarterback rating of 149.3. He also found room to run, accumulating 38 yards on the ground. On the year, Foles has 1,028 yards, 13 touchdowns and zero interceptions.
Wide receiver B.J. Cunningham saw playing time for Philadelphia, but did not catch any passes from Foles. Cut by the Eagles before the start of the season, Cunningham re-signed with the team on October 14 and played in his second NFL game on Sunday.
LeVeon Bell continued to shine for the Steelers on Sunday. The rookie running back rushed 22 times for 57 yards and a four-yard touchdown in Pittsburgh’s 23-10 win over the Bills. The former Michigan State star also hauled in three passes for 39 yards. He now has 429 total yards and three scores this season.
Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins did not play in Washington’s 34-27 Thursday night loss to the Vikings. Fellow Redskins teammate Trenton Robinson notched a special teams tackle in the loss.
The Bengal-Spartan duo of Kyle Cook and Domata Peko performed well on Sunday, but Cincinnati fell to the Ravens in overtime, 20-17. Cook started at center, while Peko started at defensive tackle, recording two tackles and two assists.
Second-year wideout Keshawn Martin returned two punts for 12 yards, but did not have any catches in the Texans’ 27-24 loss to the Cardinals. Arizona backup quarterback Drew Stanton did not play.
Kevin Vickerson and the Denver defense kept Philip Rivers and the Chargers offense in check Sunday, helping the Broncos capture a 28-20 win over San Diego. Vickerson piled up six tackles, a tackle for loss and a pass defensed. The veteran now has 12 tackles on the year.
Tight end Kellen Davis saw some action for the Seahawks on Sunday, but did not record any stats in the 33-10 victory over the Falcons.
49ers tight end Garrett Celek was forced to leave in the first quarter of his team’s 10-9 loss to the Panthers with a hamstring injury. The second-year NFLer did not return to the game, and the extent of the injury has not been announced.
