Canucks left winger David Booth notched two goals this week, his second such performance in three weeks. Booth scored a power play goal against the Coyotes on Wednesday in a 5-4 loss. He also fired home a wrist shot off of a rebound to help Vancouver defeat the Avalance on Saturday, 3-1. His fifteenth goal of the season earned him third star honors on Saturday night.

Mike Weaver and the Panthers stayed hot this week to stay atop the Southeastern Division. Weaver contributed four hits and three blocked shots in Tuesday’s 5-2 win over Toronto and five hits and one blocked shot in Saturday’s shootout triumph over the Sabres.

The Red Wings struggled again this week, losing twice in regulation and once in overtime. Left wingers Justin Abdelkader and Drew Miller also had mostly quiet weeks. Both helped in the effort to break the slide on Saturday versus San Jose, but the Sharks eventually prevailed in a shootout, 3-2. Abdelkader had four hits and one blocked shot, while Miller had one shot and three blocked shots in the contest.

Right winger Adam Hall had two assists this week as the Lightning fell in the standings due to a 1-2 record over the course of the week. Hall’s first helper came on Tuesday on the game-winning goal in a 6-1 trouncing of the Bruins. His second occurred on Saturday in a 3-1 defeat to the Blues, giving him five assists on the year.

Ryan Miller and the Sabres won once but also suffered two shootout losses this week. Miller allowed eight goals, good for a 2.51 goals against average and a .908 save percentage. Teammate Corey Tropp had a mostly quiet week, but he did have two shots and five hits on Saturday in a 3-2 shootout loss to the Panthers.

Defenseman John-Michael Liles drove home his sixth goal of the season and helped the Maple Leafs to a 2-1 record this week. Liles fired a wrist shot into the net during a power play opportunity in a 3-1 triumph over the Lightning on Tuesday.

The BlackHawks were hot this week, winning three straight. Defenseman Duncan Keith played a large role, often seeing a lot of ice time. He also notched his 32nd assist of the season on Sunday in a 5-2 win over the Capitals.

The Spartan-Oiler trio of Shawn Horcoff, Jeff Petry, and Corey Potter had a good week. Petry had two assists, the first coming in a 3-1 victory of the Flames on Friday, earning him third star honors. The second, his 18th of the season, came on Sunday in a 3-1 shootout loss to Phoenix. Horcoff managed one assist, helping on a Taylor Hall backhand goal against the Avalance in an eventual 3-0 triumph. Potter had the quietest week of the three, with his highlight being a two shot, four blocked shot performance on Sunday.

Jim Slater had a quiet week for the Jets, as Winnipeg won twice and lost once. Slater won 53% of his face offs in three appearances.
