Jasmine Hines Named PARADE High School All-American
Hines finished her high school career as Michigan ’s all-time leader in points and rebounds.

EAST LANSING, Mich. – Incoming Michigan State women’s basketball student-athlete Jasmine Hines was named to the 2011 PARADE High School Girls’ Basketball All-America Team, announced in Sunday’s issue of PARADE Magazine.

Hines, a 6-3 forward from Central Lake High School in Central Lake , Mich. , became the Michigan girls’ basketball career record holder in points and rebounds, surpassing the previous records of 2,989 points and 1,667 rebounds. As a senior, she led the Trojans to a 26-1 record, advancing them to the Class D semifinals, while averaging more than 29 points, 15 rebounds and three blocks.

Hines adds to her list of high school accolades, having already been named Michigan 's Miss Basketball, Michigan 's Gatorade Player of the Year, the Associated Press Class D Player of the Year and all-state by every media outlet.

Hines, who will join the MSU roster for the 2011-12 season, is the first incoming Spartan to be honored by PARADE since Tiffanie Shives in 2005.
