Another player is returning for the Gophers men's basketball team.

Forward Kadyn Betts will return for the 2024-25 season, the program announced Monday on Twitter. Betts scored 10 points in eight games for the Gophers last season.

While he didn't see many minutes last season, Betts was a three-star recruit in high school out of Pueblo, Colo., and averaged 22.7 points per game his junior season. He was the No. 87-ranked recruit in the 2023 class, per PrepHoops, but reclassified for the 2022 class.

Betts could potentially see an increased role after the U saw some departures via the transfer portal, including Pharrel Payne, Braeden Carrington and Josh Ola-Joseph.

The Gophers appear poised to return four of their starting five from this season, including leading scorer Dawson Garcia, who recently announced his intentions to return for the 2024-25 season.
