Gophers' Parker Fox returning for 2024-25 season

Parker Fox is back for another year.
The Gophers men’s basketball team announced Friday that the forward will use his final year of eligibility for the 2024-25 season. Fox was a spark plug off the bench for the Gophers last season, playing in every game, and will likely be a valuable piece of the rotation in 2024-25.
Fox transferred to the U from Division II Northern State but suffered back-to-back ACL tears, sidelining him for his first two seasons at Minnesota. But he returned this season and averaged 5.1 points and 2.9 rebounds per game, often providing a needed spark off the bench.
Fox saw more action as the season went on and scored in double digits seven times. With Pharrel Payne, Josh Ola-Joseph, Braeden Carrington and Isaiah Ihnen all leaving via the transfer portal, Fox’s return will be important for a Gophers team looking to build off its progress from last season.
