Missouri Weekly Recruiting Update: Tigers in Multiple Top-Ten Lists

A weekly brief on everything involving Missouri recruiting and what fans should keep an eye out for.

4-star Safety releases top-ten

Keon Young, a 4-star safety out of Lakeland, Fla released his list of top schools on Feb. 15. Included in that list was the Missouri Tigers.

Young is the No. 279 player in the country as well a the No. 21 safety.

The other schools in his top-ten are Auburn, Florida, Kentucky, Oregon, USF, Tennessee, Texas A&M and West Virginia. No school stands in the front according to any predictions on other sites.

Young plans on visiting all 10 schools on his list between now and his commitment date. He does not yet have an official commitment date.

Mario Nash Jr. announces top schools

Another recruit announced his final ten schools this past week. Nash, a composite 3-star offensive lineman out of De Kalk, Miss included the Tigers in his list of top schools.

The other schools on that list included Florida State, Penn State, Miami, USC, Mississippi State, Auburn, Ole Miss, LSU and Georgia Tech.

Though there are no predictions for where Nash will land, both Mississippi schools are expected to make a big push for the talented offensive lineman.

Nash is a 6-5, 285 pound offensive lineman with versatility to play all tackle, guard and center on the line.

He ranks No. 369 in the country and No. 21 at his position. Nash also does not have a set commitment date yet and is expected to visit the schools on his list before his commitment time arrives.

Missouri offers international big man

The Tigers offered the versatile Danish forward Andreas Holst on Wednesday, Feb. 14. Holst is not ranked on any major recruiting sites.

This season for the Bears Academy in Denmark, Holst averaged 8.9 points, 3 rebounds and 0.6 assists per game during the FIBA U18 European Championship this past summer.

Holst has received offers from many schools, including Alabama, Illinois and Providence. His recruitment is just beginning, so its possible that many more schools get involved over the next couple months.

In-state target getting steered away

Composite 4-star WR and Missouri target Isaiah Mozee received two predictions to join the Oregon Ducks earlier in the week. Mozee hails from Lee Summit North, the home of signee Williams Nwaneri.

The recruitment for Mozee has been a uphill battle for a while, with rumors of him heading to Oklahoma swirling early on in his process. Now it's the Oregon Ducks, who also happened to steal in-state WR Jeremiah McClellan from the Tigers this past signing period.

Mozee is the composite No. 107 player in the country, No. 13 WR and highest ranked player in the state of Missouri. The Tigers would love to have the top-15 receiver on their roster after next season.
