• The football team held its second bowl-week practice at AT&T Stadium in preparation for the Cotton Bowl. "Today was all about speed and fundamentals," head coach Eliah Drinkwitz said. "Playing with game speed and playing with game fundamentals. I'm sure we'll see some things on tape, but the guys are acclimating the way you want them to."

• Michael Porter Jr. had a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds, and all five starters scored double-digit points as the Nuggets won their fifth straight game with a 120-114 victory over the visiting Warriors.

• Former Mizzou quarterback Gabarri Johnson committed out of the transfer portal to Oregon State.

Mizzou Quote of the Day:

"This morning, we sang Christmas carols, we opened gifts, and then we celebrated Toughness Tuesday. We ran inside drill and it's a real privilege. Today is one of those "get-to" days that you get to practice, you get to be at the Cotton Bowl, and I think our guys really responded well to that."

— Drinkwitz on Missouri's Monday practice, which was like a normal Tuesday practice (five days before the upcoming game). It was the final Toughness Tuesday practice of the season.
