In this story:

Former Missouri Tiger Kris Abrams-Draine stepped up to the stage at the NFL Combine this week to speak with media and discuss the upcoming draft.

Abrams-Draine spoke candidly about what he wanted to prove at this year's event, saying, "I'm trying to prove that I'm one of the best defenders in the draft, and I can hang with the best of them."

In 2023, the former wide receiver from Spanish Fort, Alabama was dominant in the Tigers secondary. He finished the season with 51 tackles, four interceptions and 13 pass deflections which earned him First Team All-SEC honors.

He spoke about his strengths and weaknesses as a defender, highlighting his speed as well as mentioning how he has learned to play undersized.

"I'd say that I'm fast, I can play man-to-man, I'm really passionate and I catch picks. I'd say my weakness is that I'm a little lighter weight than usual."

At just 5-foot-11, 179 lbs. Abrams-Draine is somewhat undersized for an NFL cornerback, but he makes up for a lack of size with truly elite speed. the former 3-star posted a blazing 4.44 second forty yard dash which was eighth among all cornerbacks participating.

As of now, most scouts and analysts view Abrams-Draine as a solid day two selection, but after a strong combine performance and an upcoming pro day at Missouri, the Alabama native could find himself moving up draft boards.
