• Missouri running back Cody Schrader finished eigth in votes for the Heisman trophy, the highest for a Missouri player since Chase Daniel finished 4th in 2007.

• Schrader and defensive back Kris Abrams-Draine were named to the Walter Camp All-American Team

• Mizzou alumni and current Los Angeles Clipper Kobe Brown was named as one of the NCAA's Top 10 Today for 2023, recognizing the top 10 student-athletes. 

• Mizzou alumni Isiaih Mosely was traded from the Greensboro Swarm (the G League affiliate of the Charlotte Hornets) to the Wisconsin Herd (G League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks) in exchange for a 2024 first round draft pick.                                

• Mizzou gymnastics was ranked 12th in the WCGA Preseason Poll.

• The Doak Walker award recognizing the most outstanding running back in college football, which Schrader was a finalist for, was awarded to Oklahoma State's Ollie Gordon.

• The Dick Butkus award recognizing the most outstanding linebacker in college football, which Missouri's TyRon Hopper was a finalist for, was awarded to North Carolina State's Peyton Wilson.
