Did you notice?
- Per Pete Thamel, former Mizzou Athletic Director Desireé Reed-Francois is expected to be hired to the same position at the University of Arizona. The deal is expected to be five years long and comes less than three years after Reed-Francois departed UNLV for Mizzou.
- In D1 Softball's newest Top 25 rankings, Mizzou remained at 11 after pushing its record to 10-0 over this past weekend at the Tracy Beard College Classic in Denton, Tx. Something to note: 13 of next year's SEC teams (current 14 + Oklahoma and Texas) are in this edition of the Top 25.
- Gymnastics jumped one spot to No. 13 in the latest Road to Nationals rankings after impressing at the Mizzou to the Lou event this past weekend.
Quote of the day
“We have a situation where we have an AD opening. I’m congratulatory toward that. But you have to understand college athletics is a transitional career and you never know when opportunities are going to come. You have no clue where they are and forecasted correctly until it happens.”
- Dennis Gates on the departure of former Mizzou Athletic Director Desireé Reed-Francois
