Mizzou Opens 2023 Wrestling Season With Team Win at Tiger Style Invite
Five University of Missouri wresters won individual titles as Mizzou won the team title in the season-opening Tiger Style Invite on Saturday, held at Staley High School in Kansas City.
Hometown redshirt senior Zach Elam capped the day's competition by winning the final match at 285. The other four title winners were redshirt sophomore Noah Surtin at 125, redshirt senior Brock Mauller at 157, junior Keegan O'Toole at 165, and redshirt freshman Clayton Whiting at 184.
Also competing were Little Rock, Cal Poly, SIUE and Lindenwood. Mizzou will open the dual season next Sunday when it hostsNo. 13 Arizona State.
