Wolfpack Signs Third Member of 2020 Hoop Class

NC State has added a third member to Coach Kevin Keatts' 2020 basketball recruiting class with the signing of four-star point guard Cam Hayes.
The 6-foot-2 Greensboro native, who committed to the Wolfpack in September, signed his National Letter of Intent at a ceremony on Thursday. He joins power forward Nick Farrar and center Ebenezer Dowuona, who made their commitments official 24 hours earlier on the first day of the fall signing period.
Hayes averaged 11.4 points and 6.7 assists per game while shooting 40 percent from 3-point range while leading Greensboro Day School to the 4A independent schools state championship as a junior last season.
Although he originally reclassified to the Class of 2021, he changed his mind this summer and will begin his career with the Wolfpack next season -- when he will be given the opportunity to step into the void that will be left by current point guard Markell Johnson's graduation.
Hayes is ranked as a top-50 prospect and is the No. 5 point guard recruit nationally.
