Talkin' Wolfpack: Brett and Kenton Preview the Virginia Tech Game

SI All Wolfpack publisher Brett Friedlander and deputy editor Kenton Gibbs take a look back at NC State's season opening win against Wake Forest and look ahead to preview Saturday's matchup with Virginia Tech on this week's edition of Talkin' Wolfpack

The NC State football team is off to a promising start thanks to Saturday's 45-42 win against Wake Forest at Carter-Finley Stadium.

It was a game that had some surprises, not the least of which was the Wolfpack's starting quarterback, along with a few things that went exactly according to plan. But even in victory, there's still plenty of room for improvement as coach Dave Doeren and his Wolfpack heads into its first road test of the new season at Virginia Tech.

Will Bailey Hockman again be State's QB1 and if so, will he still have the job by the end of the game? Can the Wolfpack exploit the Hokies' coronavirus-depleted defense by adding an effective passing game to the run game is showed off against Wake? Can Tony Gibson's defense have what it takes to contain Tech's dual threat quarterback Hendon Hooker?

SI All Wolfpack publisher Brett Friedlander and deputy editor Kenton Gibbs discuss all those questions and look ahead to Saturday's game in this week's edition of Talkin' Wolfpack.
