The Big Ten Network will air the story of the Tunnel Walk from Nebraska's 2001 game against Rice, one of the first two major-college football games following the 9/11 attack.

The half-hour program, "The B1G Story: Tunnel Walk Tribute," airs Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. CDT and repeats at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, 2 a.m. Wednesday and 10:30 p.m. Wednesday.

It is described on BTN's website as "the story of the emotional Tunnel Walk tribute to the nation's first responders in the first sporting event at Nebraska following the events of Sept. 11, 2001. Hear from Nebraska football players, the first responders who participated and more as they look back on that special moment."

Those players include Eric Crouch and Barrett Ruud. This Omaha World-Herald story (subscription may be required) describes how the documentary came about.

A few clips are viewable below, as is the full Tunnel Walk itself.
