Bulls’ Pass Rush Has Huskers’ Attention

Nebraska offensive coordinator Matt Lubick likes how the offensive line made strides Saturday on pass protection, yielding just one sack after giving up five the previous week.
Lubick said after Tuesday's practice that the next opponent, Buffalo, has an athletic front four on defense, so "we've got our work cut out for us with the pass rush."
On defense, coordinator Erik Chinander chalked up the Huskers' first-half struggles against Fordham to players pressing to make plays and trying to do "somebody else's job" instead of sticking to their assignments.
"A guy pops a gap, folds in when he shouldn’t, jumps a route -- those types of things," he said.
"In the second half," he said, "everybody did their job and things went much better for us." Of the Rams' 292 yards of total offense, just 71 came after halftime.
