The second in a two-part documentary series chronicling the career of legendary University of Nebraska Head Coach Tom Osborne will debut at select Marcus Theatres in the Cornhusker State on December 8. Apple TV pre-orders are now live for the digital release on Dec. 15.

Following the acclaimed release of “Day By Day: The Rise” in August, “Day By Day: The Dynasty” recalls Osborne’s first national championship following a 24-17 victory over the University of Miami in the Orange Bowl on January 1, 1995.

During what is considered the most dominant performance in college football history, the University of Nebraska's football program would spiral out of control, plagued by controversy and violence off the field. With the program's integrity at stake amidst player arrests and its future uncertain following the tragic plane crash death of Quarterback Brook Berringer, Osborne would face his most significant test as a head coach.

Encountering widespread criticism from the media and even its loyal fan base, the Cornhusker program prevailed, as unlikely leaders would step forward to unify the team and strengthen their commitment to Coach Osborne and their fellow teammates.

Ultimately, the Nebraska Cornhusker program defied all odds, winning three National Championships in four years while becoming one of the most celebrated and most controversial football teams of all time. Leading with a firm moral compass, Osborne would earn the respect of his players, fellow coaches, Nebraska’s passionate fans, and college football lovers throughout the country.

“Day By Day: The Dynasty” offers historic footage from both on and off the field, as well as extensive interviews with some of the greatest players in University of Nebraska history, including coaching rivals Barry Switzer and Bobby Bowden, famous fans like Peyton and Archie Manning and Larry the Cable Guy and college football experts.

Partnering with premier Hollywood sports documentary filmmaker Justin LePera, former Husker players Mark Brungardt and Josh Davis tell the story of Coach Osborne’s remarkable success. “Day By Day: The Dynasty” also features two of the most highly regarded names in sports documentaries, cinematographer Tim Gordon and editor Joe Mastromonaco.

“What was truly remarkable after studying these teams was how they accomplished what they did with the insurmountable adversity they faced,” said LePera. “From injury, to death, to violence off the field, Coach Tom Osborne created a dynasty amidst all the adversity. The history of college football will forever be those teams.”

Now available for digital pre-order on AppleTV ahead of the December 15th digital release on both Apple TV and Prime Video.
