2026 Prospect Jarius Rodgers Talks Cornhuskers Offer

In this story:
It is so important when you are recruiting to get a head start on the classes that follow behind the class you are currently in. After the Huskers' 2024 class wrapped up following their big-fish commitment of quarterback Dylan Raiola, the Huskers turned their focus to the class of 2025 … partially. They are also recruiting the classes of 2026 and 2027 to keep a healthy ongoing relationship with their future top targets.
Jarius Rodgers is a 6-foot-5, 200-pound edge rusher from Fleming Island High School in Orange Park, Florida. He is a 2026 prospect who recently received his Nebraska offer. He also holds offers from other schools including Kentucky, Liberty and Georgia Tech.
Below is his offer post.
He spoke with HuskerMax to recap his offer and to dive deeper into what that means to him.
“Nebraska is a pretty good program, and since they are up there in the big D1 schools, that means competing is big. You have to wake up every day to compete and I’m big on that, so getting this offer really made me happy and it shows that they feel that I’m someone who can help them reach the big goal of a national championship,” Rodgers said.
“The coach that offered me was Coach Keith Williams (director of player personnel). I haven’t got to have a talk with him yet but I’m definitely looking forward to it.”
“I would also love to go on a visit to see the campus and see where they put in the hard work,” the talented 2026 prospect stated.
He confirmed that the Huskers are in a good spot right now.
“Nebraska is so far one of the top schools I’m thinking about, but with me still being young there’s still a long way to go, but we will see where God leads me.”

His career began in 2020 as a video editor while still in high school. He quickly tried something new when he went to graphic design in 2022 and created his own brand. This led to early success and an easy choice for Sisk when it came to being more involved in sports coverage. He has covered a number of programs, including Tennessee, Cincinnati, Kansas, and more. Sisk also contributes to High School on SI.
