Bo Smith Breaks Down Recent Nebraska Visit and Growing Up a Husker Fan

2025 offensive line prospect from Missouri has been to Lincoln multiple times

The Nebraska Cornhuskers have had a lengthy list of visitors this spring. One of the names on that list is Bo Smith.

Smith is a 2025 offensive line prospect from Chillicothe High School in Chillicothe, Missouri. He has visited multiple times in the past, and he caught up with HuskerMax to recap his most recent experience.

“All of my visits to Nebraska have been great,” Smith stated. “From the games to the spring practice, they never fail to disappoint.”

Why so many visits? The 6-foot-3, 310-pound Smith is a longtime fan of the Huskers.

“What makes Nebraska special to me is the history behind them,” he said. “With me growing up a die-hard Husker fan, I’ve seen the ups and downs that Nebraska has been through, and enjoyed all of it.”

He talked about the Huskers' offensive line coach, Donovan Raiola.

“I connected with Coach Raiola because when he talked with me, all he cared about was if I worked hard and how I played the game, less about just trying to get me there.”

“I really got to see what it would be like if I went there during the spring practice. I got to see how the coaches treat their players.”

He said a specific player on the defensive line stuck out to him at practice.

“A player that catches my eye at Nebraska would have to be Nash Hutmacher. I just love watching him eat up double teams and be nasty with his hands.”

Smith was asked what word comes to mind when considering Nebraska, and he responded “Tough.”

“Their players are tough, their coaches are strict and they hold all their players accountable, even the elite ones.”
