During his post-game press conference after his team's 45-14 loss to Michigan, Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly said that senior running back Tony Jones Jr. had cartilage damage in his ribs, which is why he did not return in the second half.

Jones rushed for a team-leading 557 yards (7.0 YPC) and four touchdowns in the first six games, but he was knocked out after carrying the ball eight times for just 14 yards.

Kelly did not comment about how long Jones would be out, if he misses any time at all.

Right guard Tommy Kraemer also went out with a knee injury, which Kelly called a sprain.
