'Iron Sharpens Iron!' Air Noland Reveals Feelings on Julian Sayin Joining Ohio State

After suffering through inconsistencies last season at the position, the Ohio State Buckeyes now have an embarrassment of riches in terms of talent at quarterback.
Not only do they have incoming transfer and presumed starter Will Howard ready to take over, but they also have Devin Brown and Lincoln Kienholz.
Not to mention, two five-star freshmen - Air Noland and Julian Sayin - coming in to compete as well.
And while many were wondering how the two elite freshman talents would mesh coming in, Noland is nothing just excited for the chance to compete and prove what he can do.
“We were buddies at Elite 11, where he came out and won it... We’re gonna see each other the same way we saw each other at the Elite 11, but now we are teammates,” Noland said, via Eleven Warriors. “We’ll have to compete. We will be teammates who will push each other every day. We will battle, and we will have competitive excellence toward each other. That’s what being the best of buddies and true teammates means.”
“Iron sharpens iron.”
Per the On 3 industry ranking, Noland and Saying came into Columbus as the No. 5 and No. 2 quarterbacks in the country, respectively.
Upon their arrival, the expectation was for there to be some sort of shake-up in the QB room. So far, however, that hasn't happened, with the two freshmen and three incumbents all set to take part in what looks to be an intense battle this spring.

That said, depending on how things pan out, that shakeup could very well still come after the conclusion of spring camp.
Despite that, Noland is just excited to get going and help the program take the next step, whether he is the Day 1 starter, or watching and developing.
“I’m super excited,” Noland said in the interview. “I hope to help my teammates build every day. I hope to get out there and keep building, keep progressing and learning every day. I know it’s not just about me. It’s about the team.”
