The Ohio State Buckeyes have been no strangers to good fashion.

They boast one of the best helmets in all of college football, featuring the classic gray with a black, white and scarlet stripe with Buckeye leaf stickers for exceptional play. That, combined with their home scarlet and road white uniforms, are recognizable to even some of the most casual college football enjoyers.

But now, they might be unveiling a new all-gray alternate uniform due to a tweet the official football account tweeted with a Nov. 11 date — a 7:30 p.m. game against Michigan State.

Ohio State fans raced to the replies with thoughts on what the tweet could mean, and many speculated it was about a gray alternate jersey.

Many fans thought it could mean the Buckeyes were using the alternate grays they wore against Penn State in 2017 when former quarterback J.T. Barrett led a miraculous fourth-quarter comeback. However, others speculated Ohio State would roll out a design created by former BuckeyesNow contributor Andrew Lind.

The Buckeyes have sported stylish alternate uniforms for matchups under the lights, including all-scarlet uniforms against Penn State in 2021 and all-black uniforms against Wisconsin last season.

This is all speculation and nothing has been officially announced at this point, but what better way to usher in what could be the first night game on NBC at Ohio Stadium under the new media rights deal than with a new Buckeyes uniform?
