Buckeyes To Play Michigan State Under The Lights On NBC

The Ohio State Buckeyes are 36-15 against the Michigan State Spartans dating back to 1912.

Since the Big Ten's new media rights deal that included CBS and NBC in addition to Fox, it was only a matter of time until the Ohio State Buckeyes were scheduled on one of the channels they rarely play a game on.

After dominating Fox, Big Ten Network and ESPN airwaves for a while now, Ohio State will play Michigan State at Ohio Stadium on Nov. 11 at 7:30 p.m. on NBC, the athletics department announced Monday. This will mark the first night game in Columbus in November since Nov. 5, 2016, when the Buckeyes played then-No. 10 Nebraska and beat the Cornhuskers 62-3.

The kickoff and broadcaster announcement came the same day that it was announced Ohio State would be playing Michigan on Nov. 25 at noon on Fox.

The Buckeyes are winners of seven in a row against the Spartans, and, other than their 17-16 win to start the win streak, the games have not been particularly close.

Aside from Ohio State's one-point victory against Michigan State in 2016, it has defeated the Spartans by an average margin of 34.5 points.

Las Vegas doesn't believe that trend will shift in 2023, as Ohio State opened as a 21.5-point favorite for Michigan State's trip to the 'Shoe in November.
