Cam Martinez Among 7 Buckeyes OUT vs. Notre Dame

The Ohio State Buckeyes still remain relatively healthy through the first four weeks of the season, as they head to South Bend, Indiana, to face the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

The Ohio State Buckeyes' safety room has been a revolving door with injury issues.

Josh Proctor and Lathan Ransom were both questionable against the Youngstown State Penguins and Western Kentucky Hilltoppers, respectively. Now, safety Cam Martinez will miss Saturday's heavyweight bout against the No. 9 Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

The rest of the injury report looks the same as last week with wide receivers Kyion Grayes and Reis Stocksdale, linebackers Kourt Williams II and Arvell Reese, tight end Zak Herbstreit and defensive lineman Will Smith Jr. are all unavailable.

Reese suffered an injury on kickoff coverage against Youngstown State, while the others aside from Martinez have been on the injury report since the beginning of the season.

Without Martinez, Ransom's responsibility of playing more snaps at the bandit safety will be even more important.

Ohio State's safety room's rotation consists of Sonny Styles, Malik Hartford, Ja'Had Carter, Proctor, Ransom, but the injury to Martinez could open up more snap count opportunities for Kye Stokes if needed.

Martinez has recorded one tackle in two games this season.

Ohio State being near full strength will bode well for the No. 6 Buckeyes, who are going to face their biggest road test of the season under the lights at Notre Dame Stadium — a much more raucous environment compared to Memorial Stadium in Bloomington, Indiana.

Ohio State kicks off at 7:30 p.m. against Notre Dame on NBC.
