Brice Sensabaugh Headlines Ohio State's All-Conference Selections

Ohio State Buckeyes forwards Brice Sensabaugh, Justice Sueing and Zed Key and guard Sean McNeil received all-conference honors.

A trio of Buckeyes earned All-Big Ten honors Tuesday, the conference announced.

Forward Brice Sensabaugh was named to the All-Big Ten Freshman team in addition to Third Team All-Big Ten by the media, forwards Justice Sueing and Zed Key earned Honorable Mention All-Big Ten and guard Sean McNeil represented the Ohio State Buckeyes for the conference's Sportmanship Award.

Sensabaugh took the world by storm with his offensive abilities, averaging 16.5 points per game as the first freshman since former Buckeyes guard D’Angelo Russell in 2014-15 to lead the team in scoring average.

He notched double digits in 21 of his first 22 games donning the scarlet and gray, while notching 11 20-point games in 31 games so far. Sensabaugh survived a four-game dip in production to average 17.2 points per game across the final six regular season contests.

It is unlikely he will overtake Russell’s program-record 675 points as a freshman, but currently sitting in fifth with 512, he is 23 points away from passing Kosta Koufos for fourth.

Sueing was limited to just two games a season ago due to an abdominal injury but came back to start in 28 of Ohio State's 31 games this season.

He provided a solid No. 2 scoring option to Sensabaugh, headlined by a career-high 33-point performance against Texas Tech in his home state of Hawai'i in the Maui Jim Maui Invitational.

Head coach Chris Holtmann said on his radio show Monday that he believes Sueing is playing "his best basketball" in the last couple of weeks because he's allowing the other Buckeyes to play more of their "natural role."

In the regular-season finale Saturday, Sueing neared a triple-double scoring 10 points with nine rebounds and seven assists.

Key's season was derailed by a left shoulder injury that forced him to miss the final five games of the regular season and the Big Ten Tournament.

The Bay Shore, NY. native started off the season as a solid post option for the Buckeyes' offense and notched two 20-point performances in the first month of the season.

Key finished the season averaging 10.8 points per game, while his 7.5 rebounds per game finished as the seventh-highest clip in the conference.
