Oklahoma Signs Wide Receiver Out of Georgia

Patrick Cromer signed with the Sooners officially on Friday after receiving an offer from OU over the summer.

Oklahoma continues to supplement their roster this week.

The Sooners have been extremely active over the last few days adding via preferred walk-ons, and have done so again on Friday bringing in wide receiver Patrick Cromer out of Rome, GA.

An attendant of Brent Venables’ camp back in June, Cromer was offered to continue to his career with Oklahoma as a preferred walk-on and has now made that official putting pen to paper.

While he is listed as a wide receiver at the next level, Cromer also credited defensive line coach Todd Bates with his recruitment, with his relationship with Bates going back to when he and Venables were both still at Clemson.

Cromer marks the second PWO receiver to make it official with OU in as many days after they landed Tennessee native Trey Brown yesterday.

While the Sooners added only one scholarship player this week in linebacker Taylor Heim, the team has made a slew of additions to their roster with Cromer being the latest added into the fold in Norman.
