One day after Oklahoma made Nate Roberts' top five schools list, the Sooners found themselves in contention for another 2025 OKPreps standout.

Trystan Haynes, a cornerback from Carl Albert (OK) in Midwest City, announced his Top 6 on Tuesday. The 4-star defensive back included OU, Alabama, Texas A&M, Notre Dame, Georgia and Miami in his list.

Listed at 6-foot-2, Haynes plays wide receiver and cornerback for the Titans, helping lead Carl Albert to an unbeaten season and its sixth state title in seven years.

Haynes is teammates with 2025 Sooners' commits Marcus James, Kevin Sperry and Trynae Washington, but is the highest rated player of the bunch. According to 247Sports, Haynes is rated the No. 119 overall player and No. 12 corner in the upcoming cycle.

If Jay Valai and company can land a commitment from the local standout, he would be the first defensive back and fourth defensive player to join Oklahoma's 2025 recruiting class. Currently, Brent Venables and company have 10 pledges in the upcoming cycle and are rated No. 6 class in the country.

Haynes' length and speed make him a premier option at the cornerback position, giving the Sooners a chance to land a solid defensive back who would help the team transition into the SEC.
