OU Basketball: Oklahoma Just Outside the Top 10 After Victories Over Providence and Arkansas

In this story:
The Sooners continue to climb.
After handling both Providence and Arkansas in impressive fashion last week, Porter Moser’s Oklahoma squad rose eight spots in the AP Poll.
OU (9-0) is ranked No. 11, just two spots behind North Carolina, who the Sooners will take on at the Jumpman Invitational on Dec. 20.
The Sooners started the week with an impressive defensive display, holding Providence to just 20 points in the second half of Tuesday’s 72-51 win over the Friars.

Then, OU controlled Arkansas in an emotional bout at the BOK Center in Tulsa.
There were six technical fouls doled out Saturday afternoon, but the Sooners cruised to a 79-70 win that was only made close by a late Razorback run after Moser had withdrawn his starters.
The perfect start to the season extends the longest winning streak Oklahoma has put together under Moser, and the Sooners are one of the final eight remaining unbeaten teams in college basketball.
Before OU heads to Charlotte for the marquee matchup with the Tar Heels, there’s one more bit of business to take care of.
Oklahoma will be back in action on Saturday night when the Sooners host Green Bay at 8 p.m. at the Lloyd Noble Center. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+.
