Barry Switzer's NIL Collective Signs Oklahoma Women's Basketball Team to NIL Deals

After signing an NIL deal on Monday, Oklahoma's entire women's basketball team is now part of the 1Oklahoma collective.

College basketball is in full swing and the No. 15 Oklahoma Sooners are having serious success on the court.

On Monday, the team found success off the court too, inking an NIL deal for the entire squad.

1Oklahoma, a collective founded by legendary OU football coach Barry Switzer and a group of businessmen, has signed the whole team to NIL deals. In a landscape of multiple markets fighting for NIL leverage in Oklahoma, signing the entire women's basketball team is certainly big news.

Senior guard Taylor Robertson helped publicize the official deal, tweeting "So proud to be a part of the 1Oklahoma NIL Collective. The entire team just signed on and they're doing great work in the State with local non-profit partnerships."

According to the NIL collective's website, 1Oklahoma stands as a "non-profit organization committed to serving some of the most impactful charities in the state of Oklahoma through the Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) of OU student athletes." The site also mentions 1Oklahoma is the only NIL-approved sponsor for The University of Oklahoma.

The group, founded by Switzer, works with other non-profit organizations around the state. The collective started off with the addition of several Oklahoma football players, later expanding to softball, and now women's basketball.
