Another Oklahoma State basketball player has entered the transfer portal. Again, this comes as no surprise with the program parting ways with head coach Mike Boynton after his seventh season in Stillwater.

As an incredible recruiter, losing Boynton means losing his players as well. There is no current head coach in Stillwater, makings retaining talent within the program that much more difficult.

According to 247Sports' Brandon Jenkins, Oklahoma State forward Quion Williams is entering the transfer portal. The forward started 28 of 32 games this past season, averaging 7.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game in 28.2 minutes per contest.

Williams played 13.1 minutes per game in 34 contests his freshman season, showing potential as a four-star recruit. He's got two years of eligibilty remaining as he will be playing for a new program during his junior season.

The 6-foot-5 forward from Arkansas has an incredible motor and could be a high-impact role player on a competitive program. He was recruited by programs like Texas Tech, Kansas State, Cincinnati, Ole Miss, Texas A&M and others out of high school.

Williams will be coveted in the transfer portal, and he is the fourth big-impact player to transfer out of Stillwater, joining Eric Dailey Jr., Brandon Garrison and Javon Small. Each of those three players also provided big roles to Oklahoma State this past season, and the core had high potential together.

If Oklahoma State soon hires a new head coach, retaining even one or two of those players would be a huge success, as each of the talents is more than capable of contributing plenty of minutes to a team playing deep into March.

With every day passing, the urgency around Oklahoma State finding it's next basketball head coach only grows. Williams' transfer only proves that to be the case more.
